Create a savings goal

Prerequisites

• At least one account to link
• Unlocked app

Steps

1. Open Goals → + New goal.
2. Choose Save toward something → Next.
3. Enter Name, Target amount, and optionally Starting amount, Target date, and Pace lookback (3, 6, or 12 months).
4. Select linked accounts → Next.
5. Click Test evaluation on the review step, then Create goal.

Starting amount example

Maria links House Fund ($12,000 in the account). Only $8,000 is earmarked for the house. She sets starting amount to $8,000. Progress toward her $50,000 target counts from $8,000.

Savings-capacity note

If your monthly savings targets across goals exceed what your budget allocates to Savings, the review step may show an informational note. You can still create the goal.

Expected result

• Headline shows dollars saved toward target and amount remaining.
• Progress bar reflects percent complete.
• Goal detail shows evaluation history over time.
